The dynamic simulation model for a wind turbine generator system is presented in this paper. The model is suitable to the designing, operating, controlling and protecting of a wind generator. Moreover, the model is significant to the choosing location and planning of a wind generator farm, as well as to the selecting type of the wind turbine. The main objects investigated and some conclusions presented in the thesis are: (1) The 2D model of a squirrel cage induction motor is formed by software Maxwell 2D. Then, the motorparameters are calculated by FEM (Finite Element Method). (2) Using MATLAB/Simulink, the dynamic simulation blocks for the wind turbine generator system are obtained, then some dynamic behaviors are simulated at different operation states for the system.
