Active vibration control for intelligent structures containing Piezoceramics is an important task today. This paper deduces the finite element formulation of intelligent plate containing distributed Piezoceramics on its surface using Hamilton principle adopting element model of 12 DOF with 2 electrical DOF, and makes use of the method of Random Factor to discuss dynamic characteristic for intelligent plate with random parameters. In succession, this paper reduces the order of intelligent plate using the following process in turn: Model truncation, Minimal realization, Balancing reduction. And then, the theory of H ∞ -control is used to design dynamic output feedback controller for that reduced system. It is the controller that can be used to control vibration of the original intelligent plate. Finally, in an example about an intelligent cantilever plate, the method of numerical simulation is used for its randomicity analysis of dynamic characteristic, and the output response of the original system are compared with that of the reduced, lastly, its dynamic output feedback controller is solved and the control effect is simulated. The process and method in this paper is proved feasibly by the result of this example.
