Structural vibration control is a new subject developing in recent several decades. It mainly researches the theories, the methods and the applications. Active vibration control for intelligent structures containing Piezoceramics is a new and challenging field in the project of structure vibration control. This paper deduces the finite element formulation of intelligent plate containing distributed Piezoceramics on its surface using Hamilton principle adopting finite element model of 12 DOF with 2 electrical DOF, and reduces the order of intelligent plate using the following process in turn: Model truncation, Minimal realization, Balancing reduction. In succession, the algorithm of predictive control is used to design dynamic output feedback controller for that reduced system and the influence on the performance of control system by the different predictive and control horizon length is discussed. It is the controller that can be used to control vibration of the original intelligent plate. Finally, in an example about an intelligent cantilever plate, the method of numerical simulation is used for its dynamic response analysis, and the output response of the original system are compared with that of the reduced, its dynamic output feedback controller is designed and the control effect is simulated. The process and method is proved feasibly effectively in this paper by the result of the example.
