This paper mainly deals with the research process of a fault detection system of the antenna system of satellite communication carried in plane. The hardware of the fault detection system is PC/104 embedded computer system. The software is developed with the help of VC++6.0.Operating system is Windows 98. The system checks the working state of the antenna system through the data acquisition and processing from each module. The key technique include NIP signal's generation, serial port 422 communication, control system data acquisition and processing, stationary wave ratio of antenna, sending and receiving signal's attenuation of antenna and so on.The device has been successfully designed and manufactured. When the antenna system of satellite communication carried in plane works incorrectly, the fault can be found out by the fault detection system quickly and accurately.At the same time, this paper also discusses the intelligent measuring system's real-time multiprocessing. With the help of RT-Linux operating system, real-time system process multiple tasks. The key questions include real-time operating system, analog-to-digital conversion in real-time system, multiprocessing in real-time system and communication between multiple tasks.
