The double transmission line on the same tower requires narrow corridors,the transmission ability is strong,and investment is saved.Thereby,it is used by line system more and more.Due to the effect of the line faults for the stability and reliability of power system is not neglected, the fault location had become a problem that got more attention from the department of power network management and experts.The structure of the double line on the same tower is complex, fault location is more diffi -cult.This paper compares and analyses all sorts of fault location algorithms,and puts forward a new fault location algorithm for double transmission line on the same tower.The algorithm is deducted from theories,the algorithm adopts the line's model of distributing parameter, and considers the problem that can identify the inaccuracy para -meter, uses two-end datas and six-order component.By EMTP emulating, the results manifest the algorithm's correctness and validity.The precision is quite high.Zhao Yongxian(electric power system and automation)Directed by prof.
