| The dross-treatment factory building of Baosteel is designed abroad, the idea and method in design is different from those of our country. Because of the bad service conditions, a serious accident of cave-in collapse of local roof has happened, and an urgent repair has been carried out in a short time. These make the problems on the structural safety to be evident. The purpose of this theme is determined to access the real structural reliability of the building with accuracy, and to make effective technical measures.In this theme, the actual states and basic performances of the dross-treatment factory building in present, especially the displacement of the base and the deformation of the structure, are described as a result of the works of investigation and detect; Mechanical analysis and load-carrying capability check of the building structure are carried out according to the results of investigation and detect, including the limit-elements analyses of representative spacial structure model; A special analysis is made to the effects of the base displacements, and the threshold values of relative displacement of the base are proposed; In connection with the results of the investigation, detect and analyses, the structural reliability of the dross-treatment factory building is analyzed and accessed, the grade of reliability are determined; Finally, with regard to the problems of the dross-treatment factory building, the effective technical measurements of reinforcement, usage, monitoring control etc. are put forwards.The research results of the theme not only reveal the actual service states and basic performances of the dross-treatment factory building, and assess the reliability of the factory building, but also provides the effective technical measurements, which establish a technical base to solve the problems about the safety of the dross-treatment factory building, and have reference values to the disastrous researches of similar factory buildings.
