[Code for design of concrete structure] (GB50010-2002) point out that HRB400 ( Hot rolled Ribbed Bar ) have precedence than other kinds bar in the concrete construction. When HRB400 be used, the reinforced concrete beams may appear oversized crack width and great deflection under design using load. In practice, beams and boards often work together like T-shape beams, so studying the T-shape beams with HRB400 whether can be met the limit of the maximum crack width and the limit of deflection has an importance practice meaning.Based on the experiment of 8 concrete beams, this paper discusses the affection of crack load, crack width and the beams deflection by different concrete, different bar and different load, and whether the beams with HRB400 can be met the limit of the maximum crack width and the limit of deflection.This paper found finite element model to help studying the beams bend bearing performance. This paper also compares the practice data with finite element analysis results.This paper introduces different crack width calculated formula of different country. Based on the different calculated formula and experiment data, this paper give out a calculated formula that can calculate crack width under every stage load after the beam crack. Calculated results indicate that this formula suggested by this paper can estimate the reality crack width properly.
