In recent years, as the construction of express highways, the geologic hazards occur frequently. Especially in geological condictions complex areas, building express highways are more liable to occur slope problems. So, the slope stability of express highways in mountain areas will directly affect the safety of the express highway line people's lives and properties.This paper depends on the subject "Study of the slope stability of express highways in southwest mountain areas", studies the 13slopes of the Guang Yu express highway from Hua Ying to Lin Shui which is built in southwest mountain areas. On the basis of research production of predecessor, this paper further studies natural geologic enviroment condition, basic features, the types of the slopes' destroy and genetic mechanism. By means of qualitative and quantitative analyses, such as geologic anslysis, the classifying of slopes stability staging hierarchy-Q, RMR, SMR,CSMR, the classifying of the newly put forward from the subject staging hierarchy-HSMR which is adapted to classify the slopes of highways in southwest mountain areas, stability calculation. The author evaluates the current stability as well as development tendency of the 13slopes in GuangYu express highway(from Hua Ying to LinShui).In addition, this paper evaluates sensitivity factors that influence the slopes stability. Through numerical modelling the typical slope's stress-strain behaviour when the slope is excavated, it provides data to control design.According to the slope stability study of HuaLin highway, this paper divides the 13slopes into three types as their deformation and destroy. Following each type of the slope's basic features, this paper puts forward several corresponding control design schemes, and synthetical contrastion considerates the factors such as safety, economy, construction, then selects the most suitable scheme.On the basis of stability analysis, the author takes the K27+825 slope from the type of slope which has lest stability as an example. According to its basic feature, the design ueses the choosed best reinforce and control scheme: lattice beam, anchor wire, grouting and abstraction of water. In the course of design, the author takes into account not only reasonable optimize of whole control plan but also local measure such as whether the unstable block will shear from vnlnerable sections when control plan is laid out concretely, in order to reach the goal of reasonable design and effective control. At last, according to relative engineering experiences and relative criterions, the author finishes the subdivisional design of K.27+825 slope's reinforce and control project and puts forward the matters needed attention when construction.
