At present, it always directions the mixture ratio and aggregate grade of cement-fly ash bound macadam mixture according to the experience of lime-fly ash bound macadam or cement bound macadam mixture. It is hard to avoid wasting material and labilization of the construct quality. Thereby it made the applications of cement-fly ash bound macadam mixture base is not extensive in road surface structure of our country. The paper focuses mainly on the property of cement-fly ash bound macadam mixture in lab. Fifteen different types mixture have been studied in the test, including three kinds of different proportion of cement and fly ash and five kinds of different aggregate grade. By keeping the other influencing factors relative stable during the experiment, the main factor was studied. The paper analyzes and studies the regularities that compressive strength, split strength and the dry shrinkage properties of cement-fly ash bound macadam mixture vary with the change of mixture ratio and aggregate grade. And based on experiments, by using different theories (theory of structure, theory of strength etc.) and analytic methods (variance analysis, regression analysis etc.), it is concluded that the proportion of cement and fly ash influences the strength and the shrinkage of cement-fly ash bound macadam mixture remarkably, while aggregate grade only influences the forming of strength remarkably.Based on the scientific tests, the paper sums up the regularities that the mixture ratio and aggregate grade influence the property of the mixture, explore their inherent basis and propose some relative suggestions. It is believed that these conclusion and suggestion can be prepared for the mixture firstly coming into the relative standard as a kind of main road base material type, and make foundation for its extensive using and further assessing its property in road surface structure.
