At present, cement stabilized macadam is the main semi-rigidity base material in highway construction in China. Because of which has fine entirety, relatively high and initial strength, the cracking resistance property and deformation resistance, it has been widely used in highway, city way and airport way. But the dry shrinkage property of cement stabilized macadam is relatively high, the property of base will be influenced if dry shrinkage wouldn't be well controlled to produce easily cracks. The paper focuses mainly on the relation between physics mechanics qualities including the strength of base material, modulus of resilience and being out of shape by dry shrinkage and influence factors including slag adding amount, coarse fine level of slag, maintenance condition and so on, and the change regularities of physics mechanics qualities after adding proper quantity slag into cement stabilized macadam. Based on the tests, analyzing the influence of the mechanics property of cement stabilized macadam and the property of dry shrinkage with different particle size slag and different slag adding amount by mechanism of structure and strength, dry shrinkage mechanism and the methods of statistics, variance analysis and regression analysis. At last, the conclusion was driven that slag has much influence on the strength of cement stabilized macadam and dry shrinkage. In addition, relevant advices are proposed, which will provide some theoretical value and direction to the study of the property of adding slag cement stabilized macadam.
