The Simulation Study On Damping The Low Frequency Oscillation And SSR With TCSC

The Thyristor Controlled Series Compensation (TCSC) is an important controller among the flexible AC transmission system (FACTS). TCSC can agility control the power flow, damp the low frequency oscillation and the Subsynochronous Resonance(SSR), The thesis focus on some problems about TCSC damp the low frequency oscillation and the SSR.Based on the work previously ,The liner models which used to study low frequency oscillation and SSR was established. They are analysed about the low frequency oscillation and SSR by their eigenvalue. Based on the work above, the controller what to damping the low frequency oscillation and SSR with TCSC are designed. And the results in time domain simulation proved the effective of the controller.
