Power quality problems are becoming an emphasis of related research fields nowadays due to the higher demands of social and economical development. Recently, to solve these problems, some novel concepts and their new technologies such as "custom power" have been advanced. In them, Dynamic Voltage Restorer (DVR) is a better device which can compensate voltage quality problems. In this paper, the advantages of DVR and the power quality problems are expounded, and the detecting method of DVR compensating signals contained transient components is advanced. The algorithm of deadbeat control used to DVR inverter is studied and at the same time, the simulation results are given too. According to the determined main circuit and the corresponding equivalent circuit of DVR, the compensation characteristic in steady state and the parameter design are analyzed. At last, the hardware circuit of detection and control is designed and combined with the advanced detection and control methods, the software program is worked out.
