With the development of the micro-electronics technology and computer technology, the testing instrument has been developed into Virtual Instrument times, after analogy instrument times, devided-parts instrument times, digital instrument times and intelligent instrument times. This paper develops a electrical-machine testing platform which is base on Virtual Instrument technology. The electrical-machine testing platform has a computer as its controller, and includes measuring module, I/O interface module and Virtual Instrument platform. It can accomplish the measuring of the testing machine's parameters, and data processing and data displaying.This paper has also discuss research on the methods of measuring the electric machine's torque and speed. Dynamic differential method and direct transducer method have also be developed to measure the rare earth permanent magnet synchronous machine's transient torque-speed change in the process of the motor starting based on the rare earth permanent magnet synchronous machine's characteristic. The motor torque-speed curve can be drawn in the screen of the PC, and the measuring result can be analyzed theoretically.The reactance parameter is an important parameter in designing the Rare-earth Permanent Magnet Synchronous Machines (PMSM), as well as a important parameter in the research of electric machines' capabilities. The author theoretically analyzed the measure methods of synchronous armature reaction reactance, and research deeply the measure principles of Direct Current Attenuation Method. Combined with the problems during the experiment, design a improved testing circuit of Direct Current Attenuation Method. The changing law of the synchronous armature reaction reactance parameter of the Rare-earth Permanent Magnet Synchronous Machines is given out by analyzing the testing data, and the reliability of the testing instrument is proved by the experiment.
