This paper focuses on the MIL-STD-1553 databus network testing and simlulation technology according to two major programs, namely Airborne MIL-STD-1553B Data Network Tester and Gerneral Airborne Avoinics System Communicaton's Simulation.MIL-STD-1553 databus technology is the working house and core of the new-generation avionics, and will play a key role in realizing avionics system integration, improving fighter's performance and survivability. While the simulation of the avionics communication system is the necessery approach to realize the simulation and testing to the function of avionics communication system.At the beginning, the paper reviews the history and current state of the development of avionics system and airborne databus. Addtionally, the paper not only discusses the main databus technologies in the past two decades, but also describes and analyzes the protocol of MIL-STD-1553A/B. It comes up with a new method of the databus network's testing which used in our new-generation avionics and setting up a platform of simulation by analyzing the work of avionics system's communication and building the model of the system.The design and implementation of the tester of MIL-STD-1553 databus network is focuses on. Firstly, the specification of MIL-STD-1553 is analyzed in detail. Then, it describes the tester's scheme and its circuits and software design. At the same time, the paper discusses the design and implementaiton of the simulation of avionics system's communication. Firstly, the working process of avionics system's communication based on MIL-STD-1553 is analyzed in detail. Then, it describes the simulator's scheme and its hardware and software design.The application of the tester and simulator of the communication system shows the search of the databus is reasonable and reaches the expectedrequirements.
