The FCS (Field Bus Control System) automatic substation system is the most advanced system in this area. It uses the advanced FCS technique which is developed in recently. The FCS control system is better than Distributed Control System (DCS) in some aspects. It can improve the reliability of automatic substation system and reduce the cost of the system.This Paper mainly illustrates the design progress of its monitor configuration software which includes the design of its unitary structure, the design of its configuration modules and their interrelation. This configuration software is mainly built up by drawing configuration equipment property database configuration , history database conf iguration ,x monitor configuration, communication configuration, accident configuration, printing configuration, network communication configuration. Drawing configuration provides a tool to draw wiring diagram for engineer. The database configurations can create some databases which can storage the instantaneous parameters of the equipments and the motions of the switch equipments under the normal and abnormity condition. Monitor configuration can monitor the function parameters of the equipments and harmonize the function of equipments. Communication configuration can transfer data between the terminal equipments and monitor computer in both directions. Printing configuration can print daily report forms, clubbed chart, and so on. Network communication configuration make the system can correspond to the remote commands. Network communication configuration enable system correspond the remote commands.Designing this software is a complex work, so it needs group work. My task is to design the drawing configuration, the equipment property database configuration and the history database configuration .Using oriented object method to design the basic class of equipments and from the basic class inheriting the son classes are also done. In the development progress,Delphi6.0 is the development environment and Access2000 is the tool to develop database.
