Intelligent test systems of small-scaled engine's power and oil consumption have been introduced in this paper. Current conditions about power, oil consumption and intelligent test technique were analyzed at home and abroad. In order to fulfill actual request of small scaled engine test, a set of intelligent test system of small scaled engine's power and oil consume has been researched and developed by using single-chip computer and sensor technique. This system includes hardware design and software design. The hardware includes sensors' selection, power supply circuit design and signal adjusting circuit design etc. The pressure sensor selects the sensor of good aseismatic performance and upper sensitivity, which may conquer adverse factors of big libration weak stability and improve sensitivity; rotate speed sensor selects NX21T type, which can remove interference of visible light and increase data veracity; flux sensor selects HY-2 type infrared sensor and relates the positive and negative judgement program, which may avoid the bad influence of returning oil pressure wave and improve the test precision of the sensor collecting data at the same time. This system needs five electrical sources to offer electricity. If we design them separately, it will need high cost and use troublesomely. So we make several electrical sources together in an insulative board, which makes them compact in the frame and reduces their bulk, weight, the number of derivative line and jointing point, but also heightens the performance and dependability of circuit and debases cost. The signal adjusting circuit uses three resistances together to debase voltage, which makes the signal to satisfy the input request of single-chip computer. It uses 74LS04 reversed component to adjust signal from fussy to standard, which enable the single-chip computer to take count easily.The software design uses the method of modularization and organization design, which lets program become convenience to amending and running alone. The main program modularizations include initialization, keyboard management, display, A/D conversion, BCD data conversion, test floating point numbers operation, rotate speed test, power test, oil consumption test etc. The initialization modularization can perform the setting of data memory address unit and variable initial value and clear the screen; keyboard management responds the key input by program scanning to realize the control function for test system; display modularization realizes data dynamic show by dynamic scanning method; A/D conversion realizes the conversion from simulative signal to numeric signal by means of inquiry; BCD number conversion realizes the conversion from binary system to decimal system by consecutive subtractions. The floating point numbers operation modularization deals with data through floating point numbers program of format, multiplication and division, which improves operation precision of the data; rotate speed test, power test and oil consumption fulfill test by taking count of pulse number,data operation and data conversion program etc.The whole test system combines hardware and software, integrates single-chip computer with sensor technique and realizes intelligent test of power and oil consumption for small-scaled engine fast and truly under the control of the keyboard. This system has many advantages including low cost, handy operation, easy to take, good synchronization etc. It affords convenience to test power and oil consumption for farming machine management department and repairing factory.
