Research On The ESFR Sprinkler System

With the development of the economy, the concourses with big space and high accumulations are increasing rapidly. If the present criterions are used continuously, the traditional automatic sprinkler systems will not provide credible fire protection to these accumulations. The system of early suppression-fast response (ESFR) sprinklers will be the substitution of the systems of traditional one; it is the developmental uptrend, which can provide protection for warehouse storage of flammable accumulations.Main contents of this thesis are followed:1. The latest research on the national ESFR and sample machine reveal that the ESFR sprinklers systems will be the ideal machine that fit for big space and dangerous place.2. Studied the dynamical performance of droplet of the ESFR sprinkler and general sprinklers.3. With the national datum and sample machine researching, we are ready to establish a suit of whole ESFR sprinkler system in the laboratory, and this laboratory will simulate a big warehouse.4. Established some equipments to verify the main performance of ESFR sprinkler, tested the sample machine to functional examination, performed paralleling test to the same national product, including several index such as, parameter capability, the efficiency of putting out a fire and the price, made the sample machine's function progress in the examination. At last, the optimal capability and technical parameters are got. Made it accord with the relating national standard and provided the credible technical information. At the same time, established the relating testing standard of the Chinese sprinkler.5. In the big laboratory, the experiments for simulating the fire plume in different elevations and dangerous ranks were carried through. At the same time compared the results with the general sprinklers'. Analyzed the capability and characteristic of the ESFR sprinkler system and made sure of the better place to using the system and the optimal parameters for working.6. Through simulating the examination of putting out a fire and the investigation of the ESFR system, ensured the parameters of the sprinkler. Then, we have got the correlating fundamental data that the application of ESFR sprinkler in China and prepared to establish a standard for the system.
