With the development of economy,the centralized heating system has developed greatly in our country. In analysis of the heating scheme, we often encounter the problem of the choice between cogeneration and the separate generation of heating and power, among the analysis the consumption of coal is an important part. General points believe that the consumption of coal in cogeneration is less than in the separate generation, so it should be widely used. But in fact, there is little or less industrial and living heating load in most towns of the North and West. The cogeneration is not always economical in this condition.In the light of this condition, the paper based on coal consumption, establishes a model of energy consumption, analysis the energy consumption in cogeneration and separate generation of heating and power under the condition of some ordinary heating load. Through comparison of the norm, a conclusion can be draw that in north area, when the maximum load lager than 145MW, the cogeneration is more economical than separate generation of heat and power. This conclusion is helpful in analysis of the heating scheme.At last, through analysis of a heating scheme—the real heating system of WOLANHAOTE city, the conclusion is evidenced to be effective.
