Accompany with the great development of the higher education, campuses also followed a high speed period of development as the physical place of higher education .With many colleges extending year by year, campuses are close-packed and the facilities are unbearable. As a result, much construction were taken place in traditional campuses,at the same time, a great geal of new campuses came into being.Campus construction usually take up a flood of land,so it is important to create a mountainous campus which shoud keep sustainable development ,full-useful ,with beautiful form and convenient intercourse,in Chongqing city where the flat ground is extremely rarely seen.This article research the method of college campus planning and form design which are located in Chongqing, a famous mountainous city..This article is totally divided into five chapters:In the first chapter, it defines the main concept of the article and expound the background, the meanings,the method,and the frame of this research.In the second chapter, it analyzes the history and current situation of campus construction, and points out the problem and perplexity currently, and induces the influence factor to campus planning,so as to lay the theories foundation for establishing the method of campus planning.In the third chapter, it analyzes the main factor of the campus image,and researchs the method of campus planning from its composition, traffic, architectural form, optic form, and exterior space environment.In the forth chapter, it refers theories application in practice. Concretely speeking, it introduces the construction of Chongqing University City, and campares the campus construction in Chongqing city with that overseas to explain the application of planning method.In the last chapter, based on the former research, it draw a conclusion.
