College campus is not the only place where college students live and stay.With the overall improvement of consumption level, the business in campus hasfailed to meet the growing consumer demand of college students. So they look to theoutside, the invisible campus then came into being, and gradually grew and developed.The invisible campus not only bears the weight of the poetry and disappointment incollege students’ daily life, but also links to the university and city as theintermediary space which bears their common reaction.So at this special space how does it relate to college and city? Where interactionbetween it and college student should be manifested? What are its structure mode andcontradiction? After reading the college planning and commercial buildings and otherrelated theory, the author found that there are few theories related to this special spaceand it still belongs to the blind spot in planning design. Eight years of college careeraroused the author strong interesting, therefore, based on the field survey and thequestionnaire survey to collect data the author try to give a glimpse into invisiblecampus.Based on this, the author put forward the following several research problems:what is the college invisible campus? How does it relate to the planning of university?How does it relate to cities? How does college invisible campus rise and develop?What is its relationship with costumer behavior of college students? What are thecommonness and individuality of college invisible campus commercial space inChangsha? What are the symptoms and why? How to obtain inspirations from theresearch of invisible campus that may be conducive to find reasonable collegecommercial space planning method. This dissertation mainly consists of5parts asfollows:Chapter one illustrates the origin、search subjects and related concepts, proposesfive basic problems, presents the research’s method, purpose and framework.Chapter two describes the concept of college invisible campus and itsrelationship with college and city, and then analyzes characteristics of its rise anddevelopment and its relationship with college students costumer behavior, finally listseveral foreign College business cases.Chapter three carries on field work and investigation questionnaire in three different cases and analyses four dimensions of each case including present situation,structure mode, industry constitutes and basic situation of the questionnaire survey tounderstand the status and characteristics of the college invisible campus commercialspace in Changsha and the consumption psychology and demand of college students.Chapter four through a further research on the college invisible campuscommercial space in Changsha, performs an analysis of four aspects includinginfluence factors, space distribution expression and the embodiment of thecontradiction and conflict.Chapter five provides recommendations for future development that "invisible"should be changed into "visible".The author expect this paper can cause the relevant personage pay enoughattention to the invisible campus and may be of academic valuable for future campusplanning.
