With increasing of cars in our country, the pollutions of CO, HC and NOX in the exhaust gas of cars have become more serious. In the cities with more cars, the exhaust gas has become one of the most pollution headstreams. The natural gas is more regarded because it is in low exhaust gas, in low price and reasonable resource configuration and the CNG(Compressed Natural Gas) vehicles become more popular. But the research work for the TWC(Three-Way Catalysts) of CNG vehicles is still in the primary phase. It is a waste for the CNG vehicles using TWC of cars. So the paper designed special TWC for CNG vehicles.In this paper, the steady flow field character in the catalytic converters of CNG was simulated. Some conclusions had been drawn from the simulation. Increasing the angle of the expanding pipe can cause the inequality of flow fields. But the bigger expanding angle can cause the slowness of the velocity in the converter, which is favorable for cleanse of the exhaust gas. The flow guide device cannot only improve the equality in the converter but also increase the pressure losing. So when the flow guide device is chosen the pressure losing should also be taken into account. The flow equality in the catalytic converter had been analyzed in this paper and a new structure of catalytic converter with flow guide device had been put forward. According to the numerical simulation, the relation was educed between the flow guide device and the flow equality in the converters. The three-way catalytic device with combination flow guide board is optimal designed and the activator is also optimal designed in allusion to the exhaust gas of CNG vehicles. At last the evaluating system of the catalytic converters is designed for the CNG vehicle.The paper lays a foundation for further research of special catalytic converters for CNG vehicles. It has notable economic, societal and environmental benefit and will boost popularization of medical wastes integrating control technology.
