Study Of The Modification Of Air Compressor For Monitoring And Saving Energy

Since the air-compressors appears, people are always seek after the way how to reduce the wasted energy which appearances when the air-compressor runs without load.Based on long-term research for air-compressors, using all kinds of the mature experiences, technologies and high-technology products such as PLC(programmable controller), softstarter, sensors of pressure, sensors of current, and so on, the author of this paper put up a series of improvements about the pipeline, deflating equipments, control organizations for entering, electrical starting system, spring and etc. It main consist:1. Changing the way of motor starting, demounting off the original starting devices, using the soft starter to start the air-compressor;2. Replacing the 5 valve with 40 valve to automatically deflate with electrical control signal and to increases the deflating speed.3. Installing single direction valve on exiting windpipe and reforming its structure construction proceeds to reduce noise and increment life of air-compressors.4. Merging the 25 electrical valve with the pressure modulator to changes the way in that the air-compressor offloads.5. Replaced the spring of the valve for unloading to enlarge the pressure regulating scope.At the same time, to realize intelligent control, reduce the manpower of the labor and fulfill compatibility with original control system, the program of the programmable controller is adequately designed. New system can stop when the air-compressor runs without load, and automatically start when the air pressure is not enough. The new system can automatically regulate the starting pressure, limit the time between two starts, make two air-compressors work inturns and give an alarm when the system have troubles.The control system has been applied in Yatou Coal Mine of Taian of Yangguang Mineral Industry Groups. It brings great economic benefits and remarkable social benefits.
