The Design And Development Of Programmable Weighing Controller

Weighing controller is an important instrument in packaging and architecture industry. With the fast development of our economic and construction, it is necessary to develop an intelligent weighing controller with high precision and reliability. This paper puts forward a main design frame of programmable weighing controller by referring and studying the domestic and foreign product with similar characteristics, and developed a new kind of programmable weighing controller by the use of C8051F020 micro-controller. According to the requirements of the batching production in technics, we designed this controller with the functions of measuring and controlling all together. This weighing controller can do automatic weighing, batching controlling and online communicating, which has a high ratio of function against price.This product is a tight combination of software design with hardware design. As to hardware design, we adopt the micro-controller C8051F020 of Cygnal witch has an enhanced 51 core and SOC design. We also used the CS5550 of Cirrus which has a resolution of 24 bits with high precision. The circuit of all part is elaborately designed. This weighing controller is a multi-function programmable controller with a module of 8 switch inputs and 8 relay outputs. It can be widely used in many fields. As to software design, we adopt the design of background- foreground architecture. The main parts are all designed as independent modules, and this gives great conveniences to the debugging of the system. This weighing controller has the characteristics of high reliability, strong anti-disturbance and small volume. It can be not only used as a stand-alone weighing instrument, but also can be used as a node of embedded control system through RS485 or RS232 standard interface with the connection to PC supervising terminal.
