The positioning technology of Ultra Short Baseline is the technology which utilizes the phase difference between receiving signals of every baseline cell to calculate the target orientation and distance. Because this baseline is small, easy installed and low cost, it is used abroad. Long Range Ultra Short Baseline orientation system is required to achieve five underwater targets positioning, tracking and data communicating, for example AUV and UUV etc, and its best positioning precision of incline distance is less than 5‰.The main work of this paper is to research and manufacture out a hardware transceiver system which satisfies the demand of the Long Range Ultra Short Baseline. The work include multi-channel receiver designed which has excellence consistent phase; Application of high speed Digital Signal Processor (DSP); Designing high speed optical fiber communication; Designing power amplifier.The key technology in the work include: 1 .multi-channel receiver designed. In order to get excellence consistent phase, many factors are took into account in component layout and line protracted. 2. Application of high speed Digital Signal Processor. Considering of the complexity of the system arithmetic and its real time property, the kernel processor the transceiver using adopts two DSPs. One takes charge of the complex positioning arithmetic and the other takes charge of the communications control with the central computer and so on. The Digital Signal Processor used in the hardware system is TMS320C5416 which is made in TI Corp. and its peak value speed is 160MIPS, Using the two DSPs structure we can excellently achieve the pipeline of the target detection and positioning arithmetic.3. Designing high speed optical fiber communication. The large size of data after A/D need transmit to the central computer timely and correctly, so the hardware system adopt high speed optical fiber and its peak value speed can reach at1.4Gb/s.In the designed of the hardware transceiver system, we lay emphasis on the credibility, noise and consistent phase, and take corresponding methods. At last we achieve a hardware transceiver system can satisfy united experiment in the laboratory environment.
