With the development of technology, power electric device such as Frequency Converter become more and more powerful and its number increased quickly. Harmonic problem become more and more serious, and take more damage to other electric device, the damage include increasing of power consume, shortage of device life, more serious damage could create power accent and affect the product. The harmonic problem notice people in 20 century 80's. The source of harmonic become more and wider in recent year, and the source number increase quickly and would keep increasing, and their affect become more and more serious.In this paper the author discusses the character of traditional harmonic analyzer and Harmonic analyzer device base on FPGA, analyze the process of harmonic detection base on FFT. We discuss the promise and problems of reprogrammable systems, and it development on both technology and application, and introduce Verilog HDL's syntax and application. We discuss the problem of high speed digital system's signal integrity, the solution of high speed digital system's SI by the use of embedded processor in FPGA are present. We discuss the major solution of embedded processor in FPGA. We analyze the promise and problems of RTOS, and port the UCOSII in our device, the improvement of memory management are present. We analyze the promise and problems of process FFT base on FPGA. We discuss the frame structure of implementation of FFT in FPGA, several frame are present and analyzed, finally an excellent implementation frame base on float point number is presented. The detail design of multiplier and adder are also present. The simulation prove the correcting and excellent of this design. Finally an new type harmonic analyzer base on FPGA are design base on those works, and meet the requirement of the custom.
