Based on the study of the precision analysis and synthesis of the mechanism at home and abroad, the methods for the precision analysis of mechanisms are studied on the basis of errors transfer in this dissertation. Furthermore the study on the precision synthesis of mechanism and the example calculation are carried out. The design of the planetary indexing cam mechanism is put forward for the first time. The Errors Transferring Matrix is proposed in this dissertation on the basis of the study about the general law of geometry original errors, which is based on the theory of the Projection of Original error In The Direction of Applied Force. The model of errors analysis is established by applied force and transferring law of original errors. The modal with universality can be applied to position errors analysis of plane and spatial mechanism.A new method of precision synthesis is proposed on the basis of least square method. This method considered the processing cost is simple and practical, which is convenient to work out tolerance ratio. It can be applied to continuous position precision and positioning accuracy. The conceive of design on the planetary indexing cam mechanism with two structures of correlation (type I and type II) is put forward. Based on type I, the cam profile equation is given by the principle of reversion, the design parameters of mechanism are analysed, and the transfer course is explanation by computer emulate. This mechanism has its special characteristics, such as large indexing number, high speed, high indexing precision, coaxial input and output, etc. The design and manufacture of this mechanism can take full advantage of the mature technology and process equipment of our country in the field of planetary gear reducer.
