With the opening of China and the development of business, outdoor advertisements, which have a rapid development, enrich the urban landscape and make a good business environment. In urban landscape, advertisements may be the striking elements somewhere, but they may be negative elements because of lacking of eifective control at present.Two problems should be solved for orderly development of outdoor advertisement:Firstly, advertisement planning should be established and advertisement installation should be under the planning. Based on the research of planning and management of outdoor advertisements in China and other countries, this paper introduce the guidelines and methods of outdoor advertisement planning, and how to make certain the final design of advertisement planning.Secondly, outdoor advertisements lighting should have good effect at night. This paper studies the lighting methods of outdoor advertisements by combining the spot measure values of advertisements luminance in Chongqing with the questionnaires, gets the calculated value of luminance of three types of advertisements in Chongqing, and recommends the luminance values of lighting of outdoor advertisement in Chontqing.This paper also studies the new technologies and management of outdoor advertisements for better development of outdoor advertisements.In China, outdoor advertisement lighting and planning may be at the threshold of research, so the results of this paper may supply references to further research.
