As the material life become richer and richer, pursuing the happy living conditions has become inevitable. The attention to the environment inevitably bring the idea the transformation in people's ethics morals, the behavior way and the level matter spiritual life, this is the inevitable result caused by the society development. People have started to pay more attention to the lighting environment, and the lighting environment question has already become an important link in the sustainable developmental strategy. In current important time, if residential lighting environment problem cannot be solved well, it will certainly affect inhabitant's normal life as well as people's health. The peaceful comfortable environment has already become the majority inhabitant's urgent need. Therefore, it is necessary to conduct the research to the residential lighting environment, discuss the current improvement possibility.This article mainly analyzes the influence on physiology environmental factor to the comfort, and various factors that affect the residential lighting environment, and analyzes the relations between space shape and physiology environmental factor, analyzes the relations between comfortable demand and psychological environment feeling combining society culture and economical level, then explores the design method inside and outside the room to enhance lighting environment comfortable, and proposes the residential plan design comfortable principle and the concrete technical measures.This article has researched on residential lighting environment in Xi'an, based on the material analysis and investigation and study. Regarding the national present natural lighting and the illumination design standard, if it only satisfies the minimum value, it does not conform to the people's natural lighting and the illumination daily growth needs, therefore designers should carry on the design according to the people's comfortable natural lighting and the illumination standard. This article has carried on the analysis contrast in the diagnosis foundation to the domestic and foreign natural lighting and the illumination control standard, proposed inside and outside natural lighting and artificial lighting design method of residential area, and proposed the control measures of lighting pollution. Finally, this article discusses the subject prospect, and points out the direction that needs to keep on researching.
