Test system of automotive alternator is an important equipment in checking performance of alternator. Make sure to inspect out-voltage character and regulator character at the end of making alternator and before install it in automotive.The system is composed of rotate drive and control unit, data acquisition unit, program control load, initial excitation source and measure-control program. Measure process is that make under unit test into every state by driving and controlling. Then start data-acquisition. Measure-control program according to the data give result of adjust and what to do next step. Data of OK products will be given report, when encounter NG products, the system will appear alarm and give NG data, and make worker get it off the line. .The design adopt virtual instrument technology in designing the system, Graphic language, LabVIEW is applied in writing measure-control program. It makes use of many functions LabVIEW supply, include Data acquisition, control of GPIB and serials port, data appear, data store etc. And adopt soft regular in writing program of controlling instrument VISA. The design is a high efficiency and practical test system.
