Hardware Design Of Doppler Velocity Measurement Based On Phased-array

Doppler Velocity Measurement System is a precise instrument, which is used to measure ship velocity and calculate its voyage on the theory of Doppler effect of sound wave in water. It has been an important equipment of ship navigation system for many years. In recent years, because of the application of phased-array technique on sounder array, the problem of sound velocity compensation has been solved in theory, which has greatly improved the performance of the traditional Doppler log. In this thesis, we researched on the velocity measurement of Doppler Velocity Measurement System and its Implementation.The main tasks of this thesis are: Design and debugging the digital circuit hardware of the Doppler Velocity Measurement System; Design and accomplished the digital signal processor programme by C language; Debugging the whole system include digital circuit and analog circuit with the host computer.Digital signal processing system is the main part of this thesis, and the core module of the Doppler Velocity Measurement System. The whole system's data processing center is two chip of TI's DSP TMS320VC33. This thesis also presents the application of programmable ASIC in design of electronics systems in this thesis, the exciting future of the application of programmable ASIC in real-time DSP system is mentioned too.In this thesis, the DSP software is accomplished by C language. This software has finished mainly functions, including control Transmitter and Receiver, communication with PC through RS232 , signal detecting, data collecting, saving and velocity computing.We hope the study would be some instructive service for further study on the research of velocity measurement equipment for Phased-array Doppler Velocity Measurement System.
