| With the development of society,with the increasing numbers of tall buildings and roads,the land which can be made green is decreasing day by day. However, with the increasing of living level, people pursuit high quality living space. Therefore, roof gardening is an important way to add urban gardening. At present, building roof gardens has been accepted by people, more and more roof gardens are affecting their functions to improve the urban condition. The advantages of roof gardening are mainly to improve the covering rate of gardening in order to relieve urban pollution, improve part climate, decrease the room temperature, protect roof effectively, prolong the applied life of buildings. During the past twenties years, TMD has been used to control structure's vibration successfully. Though people refer many different TMD constructions, they are always added one or more mass blocks on structures. The subject mainly researches the feasibility, action and effect of roof gardens as TMD. In regarding roof garden as the discussion of the feasibility of TMD, by controlling the accurate optimum minimal error of passive controlling the algorithm, calculate out the optimum feedback control of the system.About the structure measures of roof gardens as TMD,conferring to use rubber springs and overlap sheet steel rubber abutments as TMD's support system, introduces constructure measures in detailed about plant things, plants the soil and waterproof ,drain off water etc. All these the feasibility of roof gardens as TMD which are used.Eventually, this paper use a 23 stories tall building as a example and contrast the control effects when TMD is given different parameters. The result that roof garden as TMD reduces shake effect efficiently.Regarding roof garden as TMD controlling wind vibration of structure, it reactes the two one may well say killing two birds with one stone to combine together to shake to come to control. Studying the subject, it can bring much economic benefit and social benefit.
