Research On The Digital Process Of Car's Style Based On The Combination Of Sequential Engineering And Reverse Engineering

In this paper, I talked about the trend and the history of transportation design, and the imagination of better process under the new technology conditions.Facing increasingly intensive competitions today, the corporations put more and more emphasis on achieving quick and effective new products developments. A rational design flow will not only shorten the developing time but also bring success to the development. Focusing especially on automobile design, this thesis aims at introducing Reverse engineering, an important and widely used method in industrial design, into the traditional means of Sequential engineering by applying Cax (Computer Aid design system that including CAD, CAM, CAID, etc.) system. The author also provides a real case of automobile design in the last part of the article to illuminate the new measure of combining Sequential engineering and Reverse engineering in an efficacious way in order to save developing time and improve design efficiency.In the first part, we talk about the traditional method and digital technology. In the second part, we mainly discuss the process based on the Sequential engineering and Reverse engineering. In the third part, we discuss the planet of the digital technology. In the forth part, we give a car design example .
