Research Of Seismic Evaluation And Retrofitting Of The Existing Small High-Rise RC Buildings

At present, earthquake is the damage which is very difficult to avoid. Because the quality of buildings is poor, the number of human death in earthquake is very large. With the development of the social economy, the earthquake damage will become very serious. Especially in the developed huge city with many people, the damage is unacceptant. Therefore, seismic evaluation and retrofitting of the existing buildings are the import measures to decrease the earthquake damage. But in the present seismic evaluation standard of our country, there is not the evaluation method of the existing small high-rise RC buildings. In order to solve the problem in practical engineering, the research of seismic evaluation and retrofitting of the existing small high-rise buildings has been done on the basis of theory and practical application. In this thesis, the evaluation system of the existing small high-rise RC buildings has been discussed using seismic evaluation criteria. Through reviewing the development and the current situation of the code for seismic Design of Buildings in our country, this thesis presents the necessarity of seismic evaluation of 6-grade buildings, systemically analyzes the evaluation criteria of the present seismic evaluation standard of buildings, and points out the difference between seismic evaluation and seismic design. This thesis also analyzes the seismic evaluation method of 6-grade buildings by using the seismic character of the existing small high-rise RC buildings. On the basis of this research, this thesis proposes the seismic evaluation system of the existing small high-rise RC buildings, and evalutes the earthquake resistant of the engineering example. According to the earthquake demage, this thesis presents the basical principle of seismic retrofitting, introduces some methods and their theories of seismic retrofitting, and also analyzes the problem of seismic retrofitting of beam and column joints.The research of this thesis belongs to one part of the application research of seismic evaluation of the existing buildings. There is not the research of this thesis in the present seismic evaluation standard. This thesis proposes the evaluation standard. This thesis proposes the evaluation system of seismic evaluation of the existing small high-rise buildings, presents the theoretical principle of seismic and retrofitting of the existing small high-rise buildings. The research of this thesis is important in the theory and practical application.
