The Research On Crack Resistance Of Huge Reinforced Concrete Cylindrical Tank's Wall

Reinforced concrete cylindrical tanks are widely used nowadays. While most directive rules concentrate on prestressed reinforced concrete measures, with the quick development of construction industry in our country recently, some construction companies prefer using reinforced concrete measures to prestressed measures, since the lack of the expensive and complex equipments for prestressed measures. In addition the crack resistance of the tank's wall is the key point of the whole tank's crack resistance problem. So it is necessary to do systemic research on this subject. This article does research on the crack resistance of huge reinforced concrete cylindrical tanks based on such conditions.The load factor is important to the crack resistance of the huge reinforced concrete cylindrical tanks, and the non-load factors can not be ignored at the same time, because most crack problems are caused by the latter. The article analyses all of the crack influence factors of reinforced concrete, then it analyses the cylindrical tank's wall concretely. During the process, the article transforms the shrinking distortion into the temperature difference equally, so does the humidity difference. Then the article analyses the effect of temperature difference fully. In the initial stages, the heat produced in the concrete wall and the additions' influences are considered in crack resistance. At last, the article makes crack resistance checking computations and limited crack width checking computations respective according to the actual conditions by using the load factor and the non-load ones all together, thus it finishes the research on crack resistance of the walls of huge reinforced concrete cylindrical tanks under non-prestressed measures. In addition, it analyses the crack resistance of the walls of huge reinforced concrete cylindrical tanks under prestressed measures by finite element analysis software of ANSYS.In order to put the researcher's academic conclusions into the using in practical projects, an application on crack resistance of huge reinforced concrete cylindrical tanks is programmed.
