Research On The Design Of Micromidi Airport Terminal

Along with the policy of reform and opening, China experiences a rapid economic development and presently enforces the exploitation of the vast western area. All these have urged China to face new challenges in urbanization progress and city constructions, especially in infrastructure development such as transportation, communication, energy and environmental protection. Airports, as the national key infrastructure constructions, are advantaged in fastness, safety and comfort. The construction of airports can create chances for inter-municipal cooperation and communication, prompt economic prosperity, and produce considerable social benefits and economic benefits. Therefore, considering over 90% of major airports of China civil aviation airports, the primary construction, namely micromidi airport terminal, has become a vital architecture type, whose design and construction, however, is still poor in China. After all, the China of 21~st century is facing challenges in economy, culture and technology. Therefore, it is of great operation significance to research and design such kind of special architecture of micromidi airport terminal.This paper includes 6 chapters in all. The 1~st chapter reviews on the development history of aviation and airports construction in past 100 years, and analyzes the development, present situation and research backgrounds of airport terminals home and overseas. The 2~nd chapter mainly introduces the overall distribution and function constitutes of airports, and makes a general survey of basic models of micromidi airport terminals. The 3~rd chapter makes an analysis on airport terminal's design features and the primary influential elements, and briefly introduces the design outlines of functions and flows of micromidi airport terminal. The 4~th chapter explodes into the systematic dimensional design and transportation flow organization of airport terminals on the basis of "space languages" and relevant theories. The 5~th chapter takes a full consideration of relevant architecture theories and design cases to analyze and summarize the structure lectotype and artistic representation of space. The 6th chapter analyzes the future development trend of micromidi airport terminals, taking in account of China's present situation.
