Double-Arch Tunnel and Separated Tunnel are the two typical plane disposal projects in thehighway;both of them have their advantages and disadvantages.There are many factors thatinfluenced the choice of the plane disposal projects of tunnel,including quantitative index suchas the time limit for a project and.the cost and qualitative factors such as the landform conditionand the convenient degree of junction,etc.Consequently,it'S difficult to compare and make achoice when choosing the tunnel projects.The methods of optimal selection being used nowmost are according to the experts'qualitative analysis and judgment.The process is verycomplicated and influenced by subjective factors easily,SO,the possibility of making a wrongchoice is high.Aim at solving the problem,the model of optimal selection between Double.ArchTunnel and Separated Tunnel projects was established and the corresponding system ofcomputer-aided compute was developed in this paper,hoping to make up the disadvantages ofthe actual methods in selecting projects oftunnel. The main index that influenced the plane disposal of the tunnel Was established,classifiedand assembled in the paper.The model of optimal selection between Double.Arck Tunnel andSeparated Tunnel projects were established based on the actual optimal methods of projects andreferencing the Analytic Hierarchy process(AHP).The objective weight of index and themembership degree of the qualitative factors were established according to the method of dualitycontrast and the model Was solved through the modem Fuzzy optimal theory.In order to beapplied more convenient,the process of optimal selection Was analyzed systematically and theprogram of computer-aided compute based on VB Was developed.In order to examine the effectand introduce the methods of the model and program,a practical example was applied in theend.The result indicated the model and the program are valid. The paper combined the advantages of both the AHP and the Fuzzy synthesis evaluation,applied the modem Fuzzy optimal theory to establish and solve the model,not only combinedthe expels'experiences,but also reduced the influence of the subjective factors.Therefore,theprocess of the optimal selection of tunnel projects is clearer and the results are more accurate.The system Of cOmputer-aided compute not only increases the efficiency of the optimalselection.but also provides ideas and technology ground for the application of computer to theoptimization of designs.Furthermore,the model that the paper established is also fit to theoptimal selection of projects including the short interval tunnel;it can be referenced by theoptimal selection of other engineering projects at the same time.
