In the weapon testing ground, a black casket carrying the flight performance parameters of test bomb has been used to storage the flight information,hence,the location of the casket is very important. Manpower searching method is always adopted; this will waste more time and money because of the complex shooting range circumstance. Thus, it is very necessary to research location system of bomb falling point. The system can be used to define the concrete position of bomb falling point in time. In the paper, the principle of source radio location and the plane location arithmetic are introduced, a rhombic locating model with 5 receiving antennas is founded, source radio location formula is educed and mended, the long and short diagonals of the rhombic model are optimized, the layout of receiving antennas is simplified, and a simple quadrate model is completed. On the basis of it, the mended location formula is simulated and emulated, and the non-mended and mended location formulas are compared. Applying the knowledge of high frequency electronic and radio wave, the relevant circuits are designed, which include transmitting ,receiving and signal processing units. The Transmitting chip TH7107 and receiving chip TH71102 realize wireless communication , the latter is equipped in the warhead, after 5KHz signal as identifying signal being modulated to 433MHz carrier, then sending radio signal by the antenna; The two receivers pick up the corresponding signals by the antennas respectively, and demodulate 5KHz signal, and then transfer it into the signal processing unit; a phase comparator compares the two input signals, then the phase-difference is obtained. From the relation between the distance,direction and the phase-difference of signals , the location information is got. After measuring in the lab, receiving and transmitting signal are got. This system can be used to locate the test bomb falling point in the Weapon Test Ground and has wider applying fields and higher developing prospect.
