In recent years, telemedicine has developed increasingly due to the developmentof computation technology and the popularization of Internet. Medical scienceresearchers take interest in the analysis to kinds of digital medical images. Byestablishing the digital image files of medicine and realizing the remotetransmission of digital images based on Internet,it helps tremendously to thediagnosis and treatment to patients, the intercourse of the medical science workerseach other.With the Post-PC era coming and information technique prevailing,the researchand development of Embedded System has became more and more important in the studyrealm of software and hardware technology, its theory and application research haveabundant contents. The Embedded technology has already been applicated in themedicine supervisory for treatment. Because Embedded System have the character ofcustomization,flexible configure, orient-application, Embedded System will beapplied widely in the tele-medicine diagnosis realm.Along with the request to complicated,extensive application in Embedded Systemincreasing ,the period of renewal product in the market is more and more short,and the design methodology is more and more important in the development of EmbeddedSystem. Aiming at the application object of medical microscope digital images, thispaper present a realization of Embedded System for telemedicine microscope digitalimage diagnosis. The system is developed on the software-hardware platform basedon real-time operating system kernel and 32 bit ARM7 Core. By using thesoftware-hardware co-design combined the idea of top-down,we hierarchy thearchitecture of the system and define the functions of system modules. Accordingto the analysis to newly situation of Embedded System design, the realizationproject is presented. By analysing and referring the related products,the systemmodules are designed and developed in form of middleware. Finally, the PCB isdesigned and trial-produced as the hardware of system to test the fundamentalapplication functions.In the design of embedded system , the software-hardware co-design based onthe idea of top-down, the development methodology based on development platformand middleware technique, help to collocate rationally the system resource,disassemble hierarchy the complex system and reduce the development period. At thesame time, it will strengthen the reliability of system. The design method iseffective for the development of embedded system according to the theory analysisand application.
