With the development of microprocessor relay protection, many new relay principle and project that can improve the eficiency of the relay protection have been applied in practice, they put forward more higher requirment for the design of microprocessor relay protection. The CPU of most microprocessor-based protection device for the present is 16 bit Single Chip Micyoco, because of the slow speed, it is hard for the Single Chip Micyoco to relize the complex arithmetic and higher sampling. And traditional flow chart linearity programme is adopted in most microprocessor-based protection device for the present,which makes some problems such as hard maintenance, hard upgrade and etc.The paper mainly researches the development of a universal software platform based onμC/OS II for measurement and protection device in mid&low-voltage power system. It includes discussion on design of the hardware platform which kernel is TMS320F240 ,transplantion ofμC/OS-Ⅱon TMS320F240 DSP, design of the universal software platform and its application in three-sect voltaic protection.First, based on broadly collecting the documents about RTOS,the paper introduces the history and features of RTOS,compares several types of RTOS,and puts forward the research of universal software platform based onμC/OS-Ⅱfor measurement and protection device in mid&low-voltage power system.Second, it explains the detail analysis of operation logic ofμC/OS-Ⅱ,including task and task management ,task scheduling ,task communication, system tick ,system initialization and startup.Third, it designs the hardware structure of the device systematically, including central processing module, communication module, A/D convert module, trip module, communication module etc. It explains replant ofμC/OS-Ⅱon chip DSP in detail, and writes some hardware-associated code.Fourth, the paper analyzes the application software framework design based onμC/OS-Ⅱin details.The paper analyzes the software design and the partition, design for module of protection in detail, and how to create and synchronize tasks is also discussed. The protection scheme and arithmetic are discussed in the paper. The real time of the software design is analyzed, and the result is of satisfaction.Finally, the paper summaries the whole job and puts forward the way of next step in the job.
