Field bus make a connection between the process control devices and even the higher level control management network, which is used as a communication network among intelligent instruments in the field of process control automation, manufacturing automation. As one of the field bus, CAN bus is characterize of reliability, real time and agility in data communication, which provides a reliability solution to improve the communication among intelligent instruments.Although there are more and more application of the CAN bus application in domestic, the products developments on the CAN bus are prevalently short of guidance. Further more, there are obvious gaps on the width and extent of the application between the domestic and the foreign. Therefore, strengthened knowledge are required on further research of the CAN bus protocol, in order to make the products based on the CAN, such as controllers and meters, have higher standard and more reliable performance.Firstly, through building CAN Bus Protocol analysis and emulation platform, each layer of the protocol is analyzed. Secondly, the research of analysis methodology on the CAN Bus performance is carried out, and the CAN Bus real-time dynamic performance is analyzed. Thirdly, combining MCU clip AT89C51 with bus controller SJA1000, an intelligent control CAN node for the experimental platform is designed. Based on the analysis and design of CAN node software and hardware, this dissertation provided a comprehensive introduction of the systemic proposal. Finally, according to the SAE J1939 Application protocol, a primary communication protocol is drafted, and an experimental CAN Bus network is constructed to implement communication testing. The node design provides a reference modal to other nodes design of the experimental platform, it also gives a strong for the whole vehicle's CAN Bus bottom-layer development and top-layer control strategy.
