With the flourish of the society, the living condition quality is cared more and friendly environment is pursued. But what can we do when there is unbalance between energy conservation and IAQ? How can we conserve energy, in the mean time protect human health? In HVAC exhaust air energy recovery system, the use of the annular fin heat pipe heat exchanger is limited because of the higher flow resistance and lager occupancy space. While the longitudinal fin heat pipe is now applied in high temperature industry field as a kind of high efficient heat transfer components According to its lower flow resistance and higher heat transfer factor, the author promotes a new concept and applies longitudinal fin heat pipe into HVAC exhaust air energy recovery system.The research can be divided into six parts: the outer heat transfer and flow resistance rule research of longitudinal fin tube; the optimum research of fin geometry structure; the comparison research of longitudinal fin tube banks and some other common fin tube banks; the total heat transfer and flow resistance research of longitudinal fin heat pipe banks; the feasibility research of exhaust air recovery system which uses longitudinal fin heat pipe; the design, energy & economy analysis and integration performance evaluation of the longitudinal fin heat pipe heat exchanger.Then, it comes to conclusions and proves the advantages of longitudinal fin heat pipe in both theoretically and value calculation. The conclusions are: the optimum longitudinal fin tube (n=20,l=20mm,8=1.25mrn;S_T/do=2.8)has excellent heat-power performance(95%Eo & 90%_α_reF/M of annular fin); the longitudinal fin heat pipe heat exchanger has the unique and non-substitute advantages, such as high heat transfer factor(the same to annular fin), lower flow resistance(20% of annular fin), much more compact configuration(50% of annular fin), shorter investment recovery period(within one year), the more sanitary & dependable usage and flexible installation(separated), etc. So it's completely feasible to apply longitudinal fin heat pipe into exhaust air energy recovery of HVAC.The properties research solves some basic applying problems of longitudinal fin heat pipe, and also offers design theory and reference to the longitudinal fin heat pipe designing, application and promotion. The conclusions about the AI-NH3 longitudinal fin heat pipe not only has some meanings of engineer guide for practical application in HVAC, but also gives some references to other low temperature business and domestic fields.
