In recent years, auto accidents have caused a large number of casualties and economic loss in the whole world, which force governments and automobile enterprises to invest much manpower and material resources to vehicle safety research。 Especially in our country, due to the reasons of population and road condition, car accident rates are rising sharply year-by-year. Further more, people now pay more attention to vehicle safety performance than before. All these factors make it urgent for us to establish strict vehicle safety regulations and attach much importance to the field of scientific research to enhance safety.It is one of the key problems that study of passive safety of an automobile that passenger protecting in the front impact. The airbag has already widely applied to Motor as a kind of effective protecting measure, but in preventing passenger from occurring while colliding damaging and death seriously, it leads to damage the face of passage sometimes while the airbag is launched .In order to improve the protecting result of the airbag further, this paper has carried on analyzing and researching to key element and problem involved of the safe gasbag system. This paper studies the development level of vehicle crash, method of test research and relevant regulation. It also introduces some vehicle crash methods and test equipments. In crash test, dummies are very important and indispensable to vehicle dynamic test and research work. Dummies can simulate the shape and interior structure of human body; they are mainly used to assess the injury of passengers in crash. To reflect the response of person resulted from vehicle, dummy specification is also essential. This paper give a introduction to the requirements and program of specification of the Hybrid III's important parts, such as head, neck, thorax and knee).The algorithm for airbag actuation is one of the key technique, this paper has some research about the algorithm for airbag actuation. It'll be great efficient and convenient for us to design the program in the combination of VB. Then access the crash test result by the regulations, including head injury, thorax injury and knee injury. Construct the data analysis software by Matlab and Matrix VB to deal with test datum. It has the follow functions such as scale transformation, digital filter; synthesize channel-data and print etc.The research of the automobile security will be to develop one of the problems that the technological field of automobile of our country will be considered primarily. This paper has analysed the standard of harming and validated the two algorithms, to the research of the airbag of automobile, there are certain social and economic meanings. At the same time, it has supplied the gist for dealing with distension of quanlity about airbag in recent years.
