Automatic fiber placement is one of the most important solutions to achievelow-cost and high-quality composite process. Now it has been accomplished andapplied widely in the industry of aeronautics and astronautics in developed countries.But the research to automatic fiber placement is just begun in China. In this paper,program technology of automatic fiber placement is researched. The achievements areas follows. Firstly, model design and placement path generation is simply studied. Meantime,their effect to manufacture and the disposing method is also researched. Secondly, kinematic converse problem of 7-axis automatic fiber placement robotis studied, a simple solution algorithm is proposed to solve it. So the controlinformation of machine tool joints in the manufacture process can be obtained. Basedon CAA, the redeveloping platform of CATIA, the simulation of fiber placementprocess is implemented. At last, with the control information, the solution of movement control code ofautomatic fiber placement equipment during process is realized. Meantime, with theimformation of composite thread number that is presented in CAD module, thealgorithm to get control code of composite cut is also realized.
