Research Of PM Model Supporting Concurrent Product Development And The Application System Realization

With the increasing global competition, the traditional method for enterprisemanagement is not suitable for market demands. So the application of the projectmanagement technology in the manufactory enterprises is attracting attention. In thebackground of the information system required by Wuxi G.S. Precision ToolCorporation, this paper does a research on the project management technology ofconcurrent product development. Project management technology of product development is complicated systemengineering in the environment of Concurrent Engineering, so a clear, popular andeasy PM model is needed to direct project management research in different areasand general application system realization. Therefore, First, based on thecharacteristics of concurrent product development and the requirements of projectbreakdown structure, a three layered, reticulate PM model has been established toinstruct the realization of the application system. Second, the problem of taskplanning and task assigning used in the PM model has been solved in the applicationsystem by tree model and flow model planning technology. Third, thecenter-concerted and project-oriented organization structure has been formed for therequirements of multi-project management by G.S. Precision Tool Corporation. Last,based on analyzing and disposing on the state attribute in the PM model, the accessproblem form project organization to task has been solved by using State-Basedaccess control method. With the above problems being solved, GS-C4P system thathas been applied successfully in G.S. Precision Tool Corporation has been realized.
