This paper presented a mathematical model to describe a thermoelectric refrigerator under the third kind boundary condition. The analytic of refrigeration parameter (refrigeration quantity and refrigeration coefficient etc.) for the relation of intensity of heat emission was obtained. In this paper, a three-dimension calculating model for air flow and heat transfer inside a convenient thermoelectric refrigerator was established. In stable state, air temperature field and flow field inside the thermoelectric refrigerator are calculated by using a CFD soft PHEONICS. Temperature inside of the thermoelectric refrigerator was test by using thermocouple. According to the contrast of calculating results, the test proves correctness of the calculating models. Furthermore, this paper presents how the radiation, the thickness of aluminous lumen, surrounding temperature, the position of thermoelectric cooler and the thickness of door affect temperature field and flow field inside refrigerator. Some deficiencies of refrigerator structure are discovered and the betterments are given to solve the inequality of temperature field and slowness of stable time. The improved new structure which enhances the intensity of heat emission is recalculated and the results indicate that it obviously improves uniformity of temperature field and flow field inside refrigerator. In addition, compound cooling system of thermoelectric cooler and heat pipe cooler is discussed qualitatively. By the research work, this paper supplies a certain foundation for establishment of better three-dimension thermoelectric refrigerator models.
