The temperature field and the flow field in a refrigerator are of much concernto the preservation quality of food inside. In order to make sure the actualtemperature distribution, the flow distribution and the influence factors, a dataacquisition system was established by using Agilent34970A data acquisition/switchunit made by HP Company to measure the temperature at some special positions andthe temperature of the walls inside the refrigerator, in which an inner heat sourcewas contained. In this thesis, a stable three-dimension numerical calculating modelwas established, which took the radiation effects into account The CFD softwareFLUENT was used to simulate the flow and heat transfer situation with temperatureboundary conditions. The simulation results and experimental results werecompared. Good agreement between them shows that the computed distribution oftemperature and flow can supply warrants for the optimized designing ofrefrigerators.
