The Study On Spatial Structure Of Dominating City In ZHUNGEER

The type of cities and towns based on minerals resources exploitation and processing is one of the impartment cities and towns' types in terms of classification of cities and towns, and its industry development characteristics and spatial expansion is totally different from other types' cities and towns because minerals resources are exhausted gradually and city's development and spatial structure are determined by the phase of exploitation. ZHUNGEER is located in the east of ERDUOSI city of Inner Mongolia autonomy region. XUEJIAWAN, which is the dominating city of ZHUNGEER, develops gradually from a village with population less than 1000 to a city now with the ZHUNGEER coal areas' development in 1990s. In this dissertation, the spatial structure of XUEJIAWAN is discussed. The development experiences and lessons of other towns and cities based on minerals resources exploitation and processing at home and aboard are summarized. Under the conditions of current market, transportation and production technology, the spatial structure models suitable to its eco-environmental characteristics and development conditions are analysed. The findings will have important meaning to the spatial structure research and layout of other towns and cities based on resources exploitation and processing in this area and other areas which have similar natural characteristics and development conditions.The spatial structure types and features of XUEJIAWAN are put forward by comparing with the evolution regularity of different cities based on resources exploitation and processing and finding out their problems of spatial structure development as well as discussing on XUEJIAWAN's development background. And then the coal resource's distribution and its exploitation and utilization, the main factors that influence its spatial structure evolution as well as their impact aspects are given further discussed. Based on the analysis above, the spatial structure developments of XUEJIAWAN are divided into six phases. There are as follows:(1)the phase of original natural environment; (2)the forming phase of spatial concentrate structure; (3)the development phase of belt spatial structure; (4)The phase of dispersal spatial structure; (5)the development phase of city with twin-core structure; (6)the phase of structure optimization. At the same time, the evolution models of various phases are put forward accordingly. Finally, the form of inner spatial structure of dominating city at different development phases is discussed based on the comprehensive planning of ZHUNGEER. In the near future, the spatial structure model will be one main center with several industry parks, and 10 years later, it will be twin-core structure model. The regional spatial system that has close relationship with dominating city is researched and the form of structure optimization of dominating city 20 years later is envisaged too.
