Application Of Water Chiller's Heat Recovery System For Hotel Buildings

Energy is regarded as one of the five fundamental constituents for human beings, which also is the important strategic supply for the national economy and social development. Along with booming development of hotel buildings, their energy consumption becomes more and more seriously, which not only bring about huge pressure on energy and environmental protection, but also affect the hotel's operation. Therefore, the reasonable energy consumption and active energy-saving measures are vital to hotel buildings. Under active energy-saving policy in China, some energy-saving technology gains good application. Currently, chiller heat recovery is a hot technology in hotel buildings.The research aims to the actual situation of the air conditioning system for a hotel in southern China. Investigated on the project of heat recovery for Fuqing Sunshine hotel (three star class), following conclusions are drawn by the theoretical analyses: first, because the heat recovery system supplies hot water and cold water at the same time, the energy efficiency is raised significantly, reducing the cost of hot water supply; second, the usable amount of waste energy should be calculated under the practical running conditions instead of the design condition; third, if the hot recovery system is well designed, the water chiller's refrigerating performance keeps constant; fourth, if the required hot water temperature is 55 ℃, the hot recovery system can withdraw a little amount condensation heat rejection; fifth, on the design condition, the exergy efficiency of water chiller with heat recovery system can increase around 5%.Some analysis were carried out on the water chiller heat recovery system, which aim to provide some technical support to water chiller heat recovery project, and correct somefalse ideas on the heat recovery system. Since air conditioning system and hot water system in each hotel are different in water chiller type, running mode and owner's cooperation, the conclusions may have their own limits.
