In recent years, the steel- concrete hybrid structure is widely adopted in super high-rise building in china. The steel- concrete hybrid structure is a kind of new structure which has the advantage of steel structure and the reinforced concrete structure. The research and application of steel- concrete hybrid structure is quickly developed and this kind of structure style is generally accepted up to now. But comprehensive research on the basic behavior of this kind of structure, particularly on the large and complicated steel- concrete hybrid high-rise building structure is very few, therefore it requests thoroughly research.Currently, the finite element analysis method has already become an important method in resolving engineering problems, and the FEA program ANSYS is widely applied in civil engineering realm, but its applications in high-rise building analysis are seldom. The program ANSYS provide a very favorable platform which makes comprehensive research on complicated steel- concrete hybrid high-rise building possible. In this paper, based on the method of finite element analysis, making use of the program ANSYS, three-dimensional finite element model of a high-rise building in shanghai is set up for example, and comprehensive research on large and complicated steel- concrete hybrid high-rise building structure is done.The complexity of the high-rise building structure, determines the complexity of sets up its finite element model and the model is reasonable or not, determines the calculation accuracy of the analysis. A reasonable steel-concrete hybrid finite element model of the structure is set up in this paper, which can achieve perfect accuracy without too much computational work. Static analysis subject to wind and seism load is done and the behavior of frame-brace steel-concrete hybrid structure is investigated. The internal shear force ratio between the column and brace subjected to horizontal load is calculated. The lateral storey drafts at the case of different steel consuming is discussed, it shows that comparing with column to adjust the brace steel consuming is more effective for the adjustment of the structure lateral stiffness. The vibration characteristic is analyzed in the paper and vibration shapes and periods is calculated. At the sametime, the influence of different calculation supposes on the vibration shapes and periods are discussed. The time-history analysis subject to four Shanghai seism wave is done, which reveals the seism response of the structure. Mode superposition and vibration shapes-separation-spectra-method is also adopted and its results are compared, it shows that those methods are generally accuracy because although there are some differences between its results they are very much similar. To understand the structural process form elastic state to plastic state, from yield to collapse, to study how to control breakage degree, furthermore, to find the ways of preventing its collapse, nonlinear push over analysis is done in this paper, the load-displacement curve and the elasto-plastic storey draft are obtained, the yield and destruction process of the structure component is distinctly revealed.
