The problem about the energy dissipation and erosion control of discharge buildings in hydraulic and hydro-electric engineering project has been concerned by more and more hydraulic engineers nowadays. The existingresults show that -the new combined energy dissipater named diffluentpiers with low ridge combines the advantages of the energy dissipation of the Roller Bucket and the surface current, and it can solve the problem of energy dissipation and erosion control effectively in the condition of the low Fr current. In order to make the diffluent piers with low ridge applying the abroad practice, it's necessary to make further optimization about the type of diffluent piers with low ridge. The author of this article has done some experiments and select optimal figure style parameters of diffluent piers with low ridge. Focused on the important figure style parameters of diffluent piers' height and contraction ratio, carry on some further experiment research, and make some detailed analysis and contrasts through the experiments' result. The base of these analysis and contrasts mainly relies on the following points: the downstream flow state of the current, the velocity distribution of the current, the surface wave, the wave of the bank etc. On the basis of the research productions that have been reserved, we put forward some experienced formulas of the parameters about the type of diffluent piers with low ridge. These experienced formulas can be used as the references inengineering design and further research. Through analyzing and contrasting of the downstream velocity distribution of the current, the surface wave, the wave of bank etc. before and after optimization, verify that the energy dissipation of the diffluent piers with low ridge is more effective. In the author's opinion, the new type energy dissipater reserves the abroad practice.
